About

Pocket Offline started as a shared notes file between three friends who were tired of installing a 'great' mobile game only to hit a wall screaming 'no connection'. We wanted a place that collects games you can actually finish on a plane or at the cabin. So we built one.,The editorial side is small on purpose. We play each title for at least a few evenings, usually more, and we only write about something once we've seen the mid-game, not just the shiny tutorial. If a game pretends to be offline but secretly needs a server for half its features, we say so.,We pick games across genres, not just the easy puzzle hits. Role-playing, strategy, racing, cozy simulators, card games, short adventures. The goal is that whatever mood you're in, there's one honest recommendation here.,Nobody pays us to be on the list. We buy or download the games ourselves, and our ratings reflect how they felt in our hands, not how big the developer is.

Marta Lindqvist — Marta has been reviewing mobile games for over eight years and still keeps a drawer full of old phones for testing. She handles most of the RPG and strategy coverage.
