Cozy simulators for winding down

After a long day I don't want to be challenged, I want to potter. That's where cozy simulators come in, and the offline ones are the real treasures because nothing interrupts the calm.

Terrafarm Horizon is my current favourite. It threw out the energy-bar nonsense entirely, so I can plant, build, and tidy for as long as I like. The lack of wait-timers completely changes how relaxing it feels.

The trick with cozy sims is that depth and calm aren't opposites. The best ones hide a surprisingly deep crafting loop under a gentle surface, so you always have a quiet goal to drift toward.

I usually play these with the sound low and the lights off. It's less about winning and more about leaving the little world slightly better than I found it.
